I Didn't Jinx Myself!

Well, I woke up this morning from my phone ringing. It just so happened to be a lady who works at the corporate office of Hallmark Cards, Inc. I got a job offer, and I accepted it. I am going to be a section manager here in Topeka, KS. working at the production facilities that make the cards and some limited styles of envelopes. I'm going to be responsible for anywhere between 10-15 associates working the line. While yes, it is somewhat scary to be going to work for such a large corporation straight out of college I am very excited. I mean of all people Hallmark Cards wants me. I am not complaining either, the pay is very significant (for a new graduate), the benefits are excellent, not only a pension but also a 401-k combined, and profit sharing. While yes, the hours will initially not be what I would prefer, but once I become established within the company it is relatively easy to move vertically and horizontally. I am uncertain as to the start date of this job, but I should be finding out more details come Monday or Tuesday.

On another note, I know I've been promising photos of the new house. Things have been somewhat hectic. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow if I have time to clean it up a little bit. Or, I'll definitely get some pics on Sunday, because I will be forced to clean up the house before Sarah gets home. I've been bachelor padding it this week. No parties or anything. Just a lazy guy who doesn't do a lot of cleaning up kind of stuff.
