Kansas to Mississippi in 96 hrs.
Sarah and I decided to go to Mississippi this weekend. We both decided to go that way after receiving some bad news from a our two very good friends Nate and Sarah who have been married 3 years. They lost the baby that she has carried for 8 weeks this last Monday. It was about an 11-12 hour drive. We left Friday and got back on Monday at 4pm after driving some way home on Sunday.
Turned out to be a pretty good trip. Nate and Sarah are doing well. Take it they were bummed out about what had happened, they both understand that these things happen. Sarah and I got there and back safely. We decided not to drive through the ghetto of Memphis on the way back at 11pm like we had gone through there on the way down at 5pm. It was nice to see them again. Sarah and Myself both look forward to seeing them both again sometime soon.
On the way down I received a phone call from a man who works at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the Greater Kansas City area. He had seen my resume and thought that I would be someone that they would like to meet and consider offering employment to. I finally got to look over the website for the company and saw what they had to offer. This is the first employer interest in me for a job that would not place me as an independent contractor and would offer benefits... hm... I like that. Of course I am going to pursue...
I still haven't fully recovered sleep wise from the quick trip, so I apologize for any possible grammatical errors and or run-on sentences this late into the evening. I am going to go to bed tonight knowing very well that I can sleep in tomorrow.
