100-120 Cold Calls A Day?
Allianze/PBS contacted me the other day set-up a phone interview. What they do is have field recuiters who contact independent insurance agents and try and sell the idea to the agents to sell their products along with whatever their product offerings were.
I had the phone interview today, which went very good, but I just don't know if this is something that I am as interested in as the other opportunities that I may have elsewhere. I really don't think that calling some 100-120 insurance agents a day could constitute a full bag of goodies...
On the other hand I do have an interview with Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Feb 10th, in Overland Park, KS. This seems like it may be a better fit. Work with a team, get benefits, a pretty good benefits package, and the opportunity for promotion and/or doubling salary in one year. I don't think that they would start me out behind a counter with the base salary that they told me. I would think that the behind the counter work would be hired on part-time employees. I don't know though. I really look forward to this interview to learn more. Sarah is going to join me, she has some friends in that area that she would like to see. I'm pretty sure that we'll make a day trip thing out of it. Well, I should get going, I am going to go to the shooting range later this afternoon. That, and I have to make it look like I did something today. Like perhaps work on taxes and maybe rearrange my section of the closet. That way Sarah can't come home and say that I haven't done anything...
It's not that I don't work, I do. In fact, I am so efficient at what I do, that if I do it everyday, I've estimated that I would literally work myself out of a job in less than a month working the hours I do just part time. With that said, I've got spread my time out and get paid here and there rather than one large lump sum and get told that I am done. I've got conversions taken care of up till April for all the agents and I am currently working on May conversions. The agents are just starting to pick up their March conversions. I can take a break. They aren't going anywhere too fast, why should I? Anyhoo, off to cleaning closets and inputting W-2s. Adios
