And in the end...

The semester was finally officially over for me as of Thursday at noon. It was hell, the week was long and brutal and yada yada yada...

I ended up putting a total of 16 hours worth of work into the marketing research project in just 3 days of work (during finals week mon-wed). I said I'd do the statistical analysis... Big mistake. The group members held up their part of the deal and prepared the vast majority of the paper and powerpoint presentation. What was kind of sucky, was that the professor "Professor Gao" or simply Gao put a lot of emphasis on just our group and forgot about the other two groups... We're not even going to go into the groups that he had nothing to do with that had nothing to do with CD Tradepost. He loved our group and would do anything to help us out, but when it came to the other groups, he simply lied and mislead them. He told one group he would have critical data to them 2 weeks before the presentation and they ended up receiving it at 11pm the night before the presentation. The other group he didn't even meet or correspond with. He told us our presentation had to be at least 40 minutes and told the other groups to only worry about a 15 minute presentation. He said our paper had to be at least 40 pages, the other two groups were only required 15. How the hell does he plan on weighing all of these projects equally.

On the lighter side of things... I got really drunk on Thursday. It started at Bullfrogs Live were some other group members and myself met for lunch and had a few beers. Then later that evening I met up with my old roommate and a few other people I hadn't seen in a while. We all got together at an Irish pub (Celtic Fox), ordered or Guinness and Reuben. Jack and I headed out and met at Irish pub numero two (O'Douley's) and had a few more beers. After that we met up with Marti and Ryan who just became engaged earlier that night and my wife to have more to drink at Lucky Dogs. All in all a traveled to 4 different bars in the course of the day and probably spent a good $60 on booze. It felt great though.

On Friday I had a career conference with Waddel and Reed (a Financial Planning company) which seemed to go alright. I had to take a personality exam... oh... well... But it was all worth it after seeing a kid get splashed by fizzing soda after opening up a pressurized bottle of pop while wearing suit jacket and all.

Our good friends Nate and Sarah came into town Saturday through Monday afternoon. Sarah and I hadn't seen them since we had gotten married. She was "late" if you know what I mean. Ironically enough we had a pregnancy test that we had left over from a moment at which we thought we had conceived. Sarah used it and it turned up positive. My Sarah and all of us went the Birth and women's center (where my Sarah works) and she drew some blood. We ran it by the hospital and within a couple hours my Sarah called back and found out that it was true, Sarah and Nate are now expecting. No worries, they've been married three years and recently came to the conclusion that if they were to get pregnant that it wouldn't be a big deal.

My Sarah (sorry if it got confusing back there) found out that day that Val and Bob, two good friends from college are also engaged to be married. They've set the date for August 10th.

All in all a lot of stuff happened that last week. It's a great way to kick of the start of the holiday season. By the end of the week my parents and my sister, who I haven't seen since our wedding, will be coming down to celebrate Christmas with us. Then the day my parents head back home, Sarah's parents and brother will be coming down to celebrate with us. Sarah's on call, which is a bummer, and we can't get home. So we are both thankful that are parents and sister/brother will be able to come down and visit us during the holidays.

Well I've written something, this should make my sister happy who reads checks this blog everyday. Hope this works for ya... I am off to bed. I gotta get up early to go to work tomorrow... Ah Just Kidding, I don't have to be to work until 1pm. ha. ha. Anyhow, I am pretty tired and will just start rambling, so, to save you all. I am signing out. Night everyone.
