Lawrence

The trip to Lawrence was fine... Sarah and I got there about 2:00 and did some shopping around on Massachusetts for awhile before joining her Aunt and Uncle and her 3rd cousin and her boyfriend at Pachamamas Restaurant. Sarah and I came dressed as usual, just more laid back than anything else. When we pulled into Pachamamas we saw a couple walking in wearing dress slacks and a dress shirt and a dress (turns out that they were Sarah's 3rd cousin and boyfriend) in whom Sarah did not remember ever meeting. We walked in and met up with them and then sat down for what we thought was going to be a good meal. No so... The menu itself had about 10 starts and about 10 entrees. Nothing basic, everything was over the wall and outrageously priced. I got the Mixed Grill Special (at market cost) and Sarah got the chicken (a breast, two legs, and something strange... A chicken hybrid of sorts with other stuff stuffed into it) which cost about $25. The mixed grill was alright, it included boar sausage; which is giving me massive gas at this time. Duck, which was very flavorful (no complaints) and fish that tasted like the fat off of a well done steak. It was slimmy and tough all at the same time... Back to the gas though, let me tell you, this is not pleasant. We also went a friends BBQ after dining out in Lawrence, I had to go outside just to pass gas because it was so bad.
Learning the family moonshine recipe though was great, it came out good and I have the directions written out in detail. Can't wait to brew up my own come the winter season. Anyhoo, I am pretty tired and think that I'll retire my stinky ass to bed for the evening.
