Kicking the Year of Right

My good buddy Andy had a party this evening to kick off the start of the new school year. He is the Van Wilder minus a few years of Washburn University. A senior in coed dorms with freshman, God only knows... He's a great guy though, don't get me wrong, Van Wilder too was a great man in the movie. We all played the board game outburst. There was about 14+ people there. Not a huge event but the dorm suite was packed. We're also looking forward to spending some time socializing on Friday... twice that is... This is good for Sarah and I. While I've been down here for a strong 3 years she is fairly new to this whole being away from family thing. It was tough on me then and it is tough on her now. The best thing to do to help with that is to go out and have a good time, meet new people and enjoy yourself. I've been introducing Sarah to a lot of my friends down here. A nice thing about that is that quite a few of them are dating eachother and/or engaged to be married. That and it is always good to meet someone new or get to know someone better.

Work has been going good. I've been work basic hours 1-5 but I might start going in early. There are a lot of conversions that need to be taken care of. Right now they are taking me about 45mins. to an hour to complete, when I am fully confident in what I am doing it should only take me about a half an hour. In time the system will be ready to go and all the old policies fully converted. Until then, I'll be one busy son of a gun. After working with the whole conversion thing and learning the new system they might get me license to sell the stuff... Insurance is a tough business to start in, but once you set up that clientel and keep them while gaining more you are usually set. Commissions can be both a good thing and a bad thing, but if your good at what you do while on commission, you shouldn't have anything to complain about. We'll see how it goes. Anyhoo, it's late, I've drank five guinnesses at Andy's get-together... I am off to bed kids. Night...
